A proposed 600MWdc hybrid project consisting of a solar farm and battery energy storage system (BESS).
The Running Creek hybrid project consists of a proposed 600MWdc solar farm and battery energy storage project located in the Gladstone region of Central Queensland.
We are in the early stages of design and planning and will engage with the community and key stakeholders as the project progresses. The project is expected to generate low-cost renewable energy over its 40-year lifespan.
Construction is expected to begin in 2028–2029, subject to the relevant approvals being obtained, and take approximately 2-3 years to complete, creating employment opportunities in the region. Where possible, we will engage local companies and contractors during the construction and operations phases.
