Approved solar farms at Thorpe Bank and Middlefield

The approved proposal involves Lightsource bp funding and developing two solar installations that will connect into the local electricity network onsite. The Thorpe Bank Solar Farm will have an output power capacity of 30MW (Megawatts) renewable energy and Middlefield Farm a capacity of 10MW.

We undertook a wide range of environmental assessments to select the site area shown below,including landscape and visual, heritage and archaeology, ecology and more. These sites were sold in 2022.
