Consented solar farm at Green Lane, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG32 2HU

We have received planning permission for a solar installation with an output power capacity of 30MW (Megawatts).

Throughout the early stages of this project, we engaged with the local community to gather feedback and help ensure our designs are locally adapted. As such, we held an in-person community consultation at Olde Barn Hotel, Marston on Wednesday 5th October 2022, to allow members of the public to drop in and catch up with one of our team, to find out more about our current plans for the project.

You can find out more about the plans we took to the local community by clicking on the information leaflet below.

statistics in the leaflet were accurate at time of printing and may have changed during the project development process.

Please note the above leaflet displays the original date, the event took place on 5th October, 4.30pm-6pm

Information & resources

We committed to remaining open and engaged with the community during this process. We held an in-person event and offered anyone who wanted to discuss the project the chance to have a one-on-one discussion with our Environmental Planning team, either by phone or via video conferencing.

Our proposal

Our initial plans are outlined below.

Informational map from Lightsource bp UK Projects detailing the proposed solar farm site, including its location relative to the A1, B1174, and Wagtail Country Park. The diagram highlights key features: construction access route, preservation of green open spaces and existing hedgerows, biodiversity enhancement plans (with bee photo), agricultural land grading (Grade 3b), and retention of public access routes like Moto101 and footpaths.
