Alejandra Alcalde

Alejandra is Lightsource bp’s Chief HR Officer, leading the strategic direction of the Human Resources activities across Lightsource bp.

Alejandra joined Lightsource bp in 2021 as the Global Head of Business Partnering, People & Culture, making a significant contribution to the People & Culture function, working closely across teams and our EMEA and APAC regions, driving key initiatives and building trusted partnerships across the business.

Alejandra has over 15 years of strategic consulting experience in the renewables sector including spending a decade at Russell Reynolds Associates, a leadership advisory firm, where she specialized in corporate governance and C-suite executive search for major publicly listed energy companies and private equity backed energy companies.

She began her career in 2009 as a lawyer at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, where she advised on project finance for utility-scale PV projects as a member of the Capital Markets team.

Alejandra Alcalde, a lawyer and economist by background, holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and completed the Chief Human Resources Officer program at Wharton University.
