A proposed 600MWdc solar farm and battery energy storage project in Central Queensland.
The Running Creek solar farm is a proposed 600MWdc solar farm and battery energy storage project located in the Gladstone region of Central Queensland.
We are in the early stages of design and planning and will engage with the community and key stakeholders as the project progresses. The solar farm is expected to generate clean energy over its 40-year lifespan. This project aligns with the Queensland Energy (Renewable Transformation and Jobs) Act 2024 and the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan, contributing to the legislated 50 percent renewable energy target by 2030.
Construction is expected to begin in 2028, subject to the relevant approvals being obtained, creating employment opportunities in the region. Where possible, we will engage local companies and contractors during the construction and operations phases.
