Vlasios Souflis

Vlasios is Lightsource bp’s Chief Operating Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

He leads the region’s multi-functional team setting the strategy for a diverse collection of markets. He is responsible for delivering the EMEA hub’s objectives in line with the wider Lightsource bp Group plan.

Vlasios joined Lightsource bp in 2012 holding several senior roles during that time, including International Business Development Director. In that role he managed the successful expansion of Lightsource bp into new countries across three continents from strategic analysis and country selection through to execution and management.

In 2023, Vlasios took up the position of interim Chief Procurement Officer where he reshaped the function and worked collaboratively with global stakeholders to structure long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable and cost-effective outcomes for Lightsource bp’s projects and business operations across the world.

Before joining Lightsource bp, Vlasios worked in fund management and financial advisory for renewable energy projects in OECD markets as well as carbon fund management in non-OECD markets. He studied physics in Greece and holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi/London Business School.
