Thank you to our key workers
In April, UK solar irradiation levels were at their highest in four years, so it’s no surprise that solar achieved some of its highest generation on record locally, as can be seen in the below charts:
We want to take this opportunity to recognise our key workers, the solar engineers who are still out in the field at this difficult time, keeping Lightsource BP’s solar energy infrastructure operating safely and productively. In April, through our teams’ efforts we supplied 102 Gigawatt-hours of solar energy to the UK electricity network from our managed assets, capable of powering over 30,900 local households. This video features some of our dedicated engineers in action – thank you all.
