Lightsource bp’s General Counsel for EMEA, Alex Desouza, wins Women in Energy Award

Her contribution extends beyond project delivery. As a member of the UK Government’s Solar Taskforce, Alex advocated for and helped establish its Communications Sub-Group, supporting greater coordination across the industry and contributing to work including the Solar Roadmap and Solar Energy UK’s Community Engagement Good Practice Guidance.

Championing women in energy

Supporting other women has been a consistent thread throughout Alex’s career and makes this particular award especially fitting. Over the past two decades, she has recruited, developed and mentored women who have gone on to hold senior roles across the UK and Europe.
