14 New Sites Connected Ahead of March ROC Deadline
We’ve connected 14 new UK sites, well ahead of the 1.2 Renewable Obligations Certificate (ROC) March 31st deadline.
Totalling more than 50 Megawatts, the new sites are located across the UK – including four in Wales and one in Scotland.
Thanks to its extensive in-house expertise in development, grid & project management and construction finance, Lightsource has overseen more than 200 successful connections. The company worked alongside EPCs Biosar, Egnatia and Grupotec to deliver the 14 new sites ahead of schedule.
This recent batch of connections marks the end of the 1.2 ROC sites developed in-house, but the company is looking to add more 1.2 ROC sites to its portfolio through new acquisition deals.
Kareen Boutonnat, COO at Lightsource, said: “Our in-house development team has shown once again that ‘anything is possible’ with the successful delivery of another round of challenging projects. I am delighted to work alongside such a dedicated and world-class team.
“We are also incredibly proud to have developed such strong partnerships with trusted EPC contractors that truly understand our processes and consistently deliver in line with our own high standards. While we have now connected all Lightsource developed 1.2 ROC projects, we are still looking to connect additional 1.4 ROC projects this March and next year in Northern Ireland.”
