Approved solar installation at Inkersall Grange Farm, Inkersall Grange Road, Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire, NG22 8TN

The approved proposal involves Lightsource bp funding the development of a solar installation that will connect into the local electricity network onsite, and will have an output power capacity of 49.9MW (Megawatts).

We undertook a wide range of environmental assessments to select the site area shown below, including landscape and visual, heritage and archaeology, ecology and more.

We held an information event on 20th May 2019 at The Markham Suite at Rufford Mill, Rufford Abbey Country Park, Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, NG22 9DG, to inform the local community and ask for their feedback. Representatives from Lightsource bp were on hand to answer any questions about the proposal from local residents and interested parties, and we sent out an information leaflet to the local community, as well as a press release to local newspapers. This project was sold in 2022.
