As part of our inaugural global internship program, nine new interns on our United States team took a day trip to Lightsource bp’s Bighorn Solar Project in Pueblo, Colorado during their first week at the company. Here they could see first-hand how Lightsource bp runs from the construction to the day-to-day operations of our solar projects.
Each intern is working on a specific project that provides sustainable value to support our business. Our interns are gaining hands-on experience in these areas that will prepare them for a rewarding solar career! Their passion for advancing sustainability, biodiversity, and making a change is shared across our company.
Interns were selected based on several factors, including an emphasis on progression of our DE&I+J goals, in proximity to our offices, and Green Tech/STEM programs. For these reasons, we will be building long-term strategic partnerships with educational institutions that meet those criteria.
We’re proud to offer our interns an opportunity to grow within their careers, while having fun and learning throughout the process. We can’t wait to see all that they will accomplish through our internship program!
