Solar Construction Update – September 2020

Safe and responsible construction in 2019

Throughout 2019, we have been safely constructing solar projects across the world. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented health and safety protocols to keep our employees and our partners safe on site. In this post you can see some of our recent construction updates and read more about our recent projects.

USA : Impact Solar, Lamar County, Texas

In March 2020, we successfully closed on a $250 million financing package for our Impact Solar project located 120 miles northeast of Dallas. The majority of the energy generated by the 260 MW project will be traded through a long-term agreement with bp. Watch the video below to see some of the construction activities on site or visit our Impact Solar project page to find out more.

Australia : Wellington Solar Farm, Wuuluman, New South Wales

Construction is progressing well on our Wellington Solar Farm Project. It is a 174 MW site set across 316 hectares of land. Once complete this project will provide enough renewable electricity to power over 70,000 local homes. Watch the video below to see some of our construction activities on site or visit our Wellington Solar Farm project page to find out more.

Spain: Zaragoza Cluster

Our flagship project in Spain is a 250MW cluster of five solar sites in the province of Zaragoza. Once operational, the cluster will be one of Spain’s first few utility scale subsidy-free projects. We appointed leading Andalusia-based EPC contractor, Prodiel on this project and procured Trina Pro’s bifacial modules and trackers, with inverters from Power Electronics. Watch the video to see more construction activities on site or read the latest press release to find out more.
