Winner of SolarPower Europe's Flora and Fauna competition
A pair of Lightsource bp’s biodiversity images have been voted winners of SolarPower Europe’s Flora and Fauna photo competition.
The two pictures now feature in SolarPower Europe’s Best Practice Guidelines to Enhance Biodiversity and Land Use efficiency through Solar PV projects.
Our friendly hare made it to the front cover, showcasing how responsibly developed solar projects on land can create opportunities to preserve and even help nature flourish.
The protection of biodiversity and the biosphere in general is critical to the health of our planet and this is where solar projects on land shows their true value, combating many climate issues and building a more sustainable future.
Our projects offer additional benefits to the land they are developed on, helping to restore soils, providing a haven for native flora and fauna and boosting ecosystem resilience.
