Lee Young
Group General Counsel
Lee Young is the Group General Counsel leading the legal, company secretarial and compliance and ethics functions for Lightsource bp’s global portfolio.
Before joining Lightsource bp, Lee was the Legal Director in charge of Corporate Transactions for Total Energies SE. Lee also sits on the Risk Committee and Board of Eversource Capital, Lightsource bp’s joint venture in India.
He began his career in investment fund management before qualifying as a solicitor and remaining in private practice for several years. He has served as the General Counsel and Company Secretary, sitting on the management committee and board of Total UK . Lee also previously sat on the board of Maxeon Solar Technologies, a Nasdaq-listed solar panel designer and manufacturer. Lee was also the Corporate Affairs Director for Rontec Investments LLP.
Lee graduated law from the universities of Manchester (LLB) and Westminster (LPC) and has been admitted to the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales since 2000.
