Rachael Legg appointed as Chief Procurement Officer

Lightsource bp, a global leader in development and management of renewable energy projects announces the appointment of Rachael Legg as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO). Rachael joins us from Johnson Matthey (JM), where she was Chief Procurement Officer since 2018.

As Chief Procurement Officer, Rachael will be responsible for Lightsource bp’s global procurement organisation including purchasing, supplier quality, and global supply chain strategy. She will lead the formation of strong partnerships that will support sustainable procurement thus enabling Lightsource bp’s growth ambition of the developing 25GW of solar power by 2025.

Rachael brings over 30 years of experience, delivering more than £200m in cost management value, across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, procurement, business change and transformation disciplines. She is a global board trustee with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), with whom she is a fellow, and member of the Procurement Leaders Advisory Panel.
