Brazil: Milagres named among top solar developers in 2024 

Lightsource bp’s Milagres solar farms have been recognised as top-performing renewable energy projects in Brazil, ranking among the top 20 solar developers by e-Power Bay – an online platform for announcing renewable energy projects.

E-Power Bay released the Ranking Operational Wind and Solar report using the information made public by the Electric Energy Trading Chamber – CCEE, the operator of the Brazilian electric energy market, for its February 2024 monthly operational performance.

This ranking reflects not only the strong performance of our Milagres projects but also Lightsource bp’s leadership in Brazil’s renewable energy sector. “Being recognised in this way demonstrates our ability to consistently deliver excellent results. It also reinforces our commitment to contributing to the energy transition to meet the rising demand for affordable, reliable and sustainable energy”, said Ricardo Barros, Lightsource bp Country Manager, Brazil.

With 6GW of projects in development, Lightsource bp is playing a key role in expanding Brazil’s solar energy capacity.
