Lightsource bp among leaders on 2022 U.S. top solar developers list

Solar Power World has recognized Lightsource bp’s growth and success in developing utility-scale solar projects across the United States by ranking the company at No. 2 on the 2022 Top Solar Developers list.  

The Top Solar Contractors list is developed each year by industry magazine Solar Power World to honor the work of solar installers in the United States. Solar firms in the utility, commercial and residential markets are ranked by number of kilowatts installed in the previous year. Companies are grouped and listed by specific services, markets and states. 

In 2021 alone, the Lightsource bp team in the USA: 

• Brought 616 megawatts of projects into commercial operation, the benchmark for this year’s top solar developer ranking 
• Reached financial close on 9 new solar projects totaling 1.2 gigawatts 
• Raised $1.6 billion in new capital commitments 
• Doubled the size of the team
