  • The company’s assets under construction nearly doubled to 30 projects, representing a capacity of 3.77GW.
  • Lightsource bp started construction on its first utility-scale battery storage project, and further developed a mature pipeline of 1.3GW of energy storage projects.
  • Pivotal work undertaken on supply chain sustainability, with efforts focused on collaborating closely with suppliers to enhance due diligence and ESG maturity.
  • An update on Lightsource bp’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction efforts and how these align with the company’s growth ambitions, presenting intensity-based metrics for the first time.
  • Significant progress was made in developing the quantification of Lightsource bp’s waste footprint, allowing insights to be drawn that will inform action to improve the company’s impact.
  • The results of our first company-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion survey, identifying areas where we excel and our top opportunities for action.

Lightsource bp is at the forefront of delivering responsible solar efficiently and effectively, prioritising sustainable practices, and genuine two-way engagement with local communities and stakeholders. This year’s Sustainability Report clearly demonstrates what has been achieved, alongside future ambitions and innovations for Lightsource bp.
