Joined 2020, Brazil – At Lightsource bp, I head up business development and am responsible for the preparation, execution and monitoring of the company’s growth strategy in Brazil, as well as the acquisition, prospecting, development and structuring of the projects in our portfolio.

I chose to join Lightsource bp because it is a clean energy company that already contributes a lot (and intends to contribute much more) to building a more sustainable world. The company’s bold growth ambitions, paired with the financial strength brought by bp, the direct involvement of shareholders and the opportunity to structure the company in Brazil drew me to this team. My 16 years of experience in the purchase, prospecting, development and feasibility of renewable energy projects, as well as in the structuring of teams, together with the creation and execution of strategic planning aimed at the growth of energy companies, have allowed me to contribute to furthering Lightsource bp’s trajectory in Brazil.

Lightsource bp’s great differentiators are its teams and organizational culture; despite being active in 19 countries around the globe, we remain united and rowing in the same direction. This is undoubtedly due in large part to the active presence of our main shareholders in person touching the day-to-day of the company, but also to a cohesive and results-oriented team.

One of the most interesting aspects of working at Lightsource bp, without a doubt, is the challenge of cementing a company that is not yet operational in the Brazilian market in just a few years. Added to that is the opportunity to learn and interact with people from different parts of the world and with different specialties, but always with the common, almost religious desire to do good business and grow, leaving our positive impact on the world. At Lightsource bp there are no inaccessible people and there are no forbidden subjects, but there is a lot of collaboration and belonging.
