Resetting and recharging – what we did for Wellbeing Day
As part of our promotion of a healthy work-life balance, this year we once again rewarded our team members with an extra day of annual leave to focus on their wellbeing. Whether taking time to get exercise, relax, or enjoy a fun activity, team members were encouraged to unwind, recharge and dedicate some time to their wellbeing.
It has been great to see what everyone got up to across our regions. Have a look at what some of our team members did for the day…

“I took my dog Dora for a swim at the beach, followed by a pub lunch in the Norfolk sunshine. It was only Dora who went in the sea!”
Heather Hayes, Global HR Director
“Wellbeing Day just happened to be the last day of summer with my daughter before she travelled back to her mom’s house. We got coffees and drove to the airport.
Thank you for the time with my family.”
Keith Johnston, O&M Manager, US
“Thanks for the day off; I made the best of the day with a few fun activities…
I started my day with a hike to Sunset Rock in Chattanooga TN and afterwards drove I a few hours to Nashville to spend time with my brother-in-law for his 50th birthday. Great way to fill the day with some exercise and family time!”

“I spent the day back in Wales with my family, on a walk round a local park and lake in the sunshine 🌞”
Gweniver Exton, Digital Marketing Associate & Hugo Sacks, Head of O&M Commercial Operations (above right)
“I had a lovely day at the beach with my family and friends. Looking for sea creatures in the rock pools, building sand castles and skimming stones. I hope you all had a lovely day too!”
Luke Stone, Multi-Platform Low-Code Developer

“I took my dogs on a nice long romp. Then I rowed a single rowing shell up the lake (Lake Cayuga) to a quiet cove, then back. That was about 7 miles. Then I needed a nap!”
Lexie Hain, Director, Agrivoltaics and Land Management

“Spent the day in Norfolk hanging out with these true relaxation experts! Nature knows best.”
Val Nefyodova, Senior Manager, Portfolio Planning

“I spent Wellbeing day in the north of Spain visiting my family in a nice beach with awesome fish.”
Javier Arevalo Lecanda, Civil Engineer

“I got to spend the whole day with my daughters and do what we love most: spend time outdoors! We went on a backpacking/hut trip with friends and had a wonderful time.
Thankful for the extra time I got to spend with them on a weekday!”
Mariana Sereda, Project Manager, US
