Proposed solar installation at Castlegarden and Cloghscregg, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny
Through our initial assessments we have selected the site area shown below, and we’re now undertaking a wide range of environmental assessments to help shape our plans. These include landscape and visual, heritage and archaeology, ecology and more.
We are in the early stages of this project and want to engage with the local community to gather feedback and help ensure our designs are locally adapted. As such, Lightsource bp hosted an in-person community consultation at The Long Man, Kilfane Country Lodge, Kilfane West, Co. Kilkenny on Wednesday 26th October 2022, and invited the local community to drop in anytime between 2pm – 8pm to catch up with one of our team and find out more about our current plans for the project. We also sent a press release to the local paper with the details of the proposal and the community information event.
You can find out more about our initial plans by clicking on the information leaflet below, which was sent to the local community.
